Chris was a very big part of my first experience with Pittsburgh Blue. I was hired as the Sales & Event Manager at Pittsburgh Blue Maple Grove where Chris was the AGM. Chris definitely took the time to help me in my new position. Chris is very knowledgeable when it comes to the restaurant world and I could always trust him to give me the right answer or help me with a problem. I am happy to recommend Chris and I enjoyed working with him for the past 3 years.

I have known Chris for a number of years and it is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation. I myself have spent the past 43 years in the hospitality industry. I have managed and trained and spent nearly 20 years with the largest privately owned hospitality company in the United States and have worked with only a handful of individuals who exemplify what a great manager should be. Chris is one of those individuals. His management style incorporates successfully what few can manage to accomplish. He works hard for his company, he keep the guest's best interest at heart and treats his employees fairly while managing to command their loyalty and respect. He encourages his staff to work at their peak capacities and be mentors to those who need guidance in their job performance. He is trustworthy and sincere and clearly strives for the success and satisfaction of all those around him. Chris is the type of person who, with the necessary tools, could easily succeed at whatever he chose to do. It has been my pleasure to work with him.

I have had the honor to work with Chris for two years at Pittsburgh Blue in Maple Grove. As a manager, he was reliable and dedicated to his job. He was always available to help out the staff and foster a positive working environment. Chris is respected by all the staff under his supervision as well as his colleagues. He has the skill to relate to many people on many levels. He was fair in both discipline and praise. He always offered his support and was willing to work with each member of staff on an individual basis to ensure a positive work environment. Chris maintains an open door policy and was extremely approachable whenever any issues arrived. I have used this open door policy many times over the years and Chris has always gone the extra mile to help out in any way possible. Chris is also the personification of calmness in tough situations. Like most service industries, there are incidents of tension between employees, which if not managed correctly can prove to be a hindrance to a restaurant. Chris has always understood the old axiom that we rise and fall together and has made teamwork with each other a top priority. Through his guidance and dedication to helping us work as a team, we grew over the past two years to become a close knit group of friends and employees.

Chris is one of the most skilled restaurant managers with whom I have ever worked. He has the rare talent of being in control of his environment all times without stifling the creativity of those he is overseeing. He is able to walk into a restaurant and immediately identify its strengths and opportunities. I am sure that he will prove to be a valuable asset to all of those who work with him in the future

What I appreciated the most about working with Chris was his attention to detail. Whether it meant his attenuation towards the proper head on a pint of beer, or his constant open line of communication, I appreciated his leadership. Chris cares about his employees like few managers do. I've been in the industry for 2 decades and wish I could have spent all of it working for managers who treat their employees as Chris does.

Chris is a great manager because of his attention to detail, and knowledge of how to run a successful high volume restaurant. Chris also exceeds in building meaningful relationships with his staff and the restaurant's guest. Chris and I opened the Edina Pittsburgh Blue together, I was the bar trainer he was the bar manager. I was amazed by his ability to hire a great bar staff, and how he organized and set up a successful bar from scratch.

I have worked for Chris for a year and a half and I truly enjoy working for him. He cares about all the employees and takes the time to know us beyond our work roles. He is passionate about the industry, our customers and their likes and dislikes, and ensuring that our food and service are top notch. He knows when to step in and be involved and when to step back and let us do our jobs. He'll listen carefully before making a decision, especially one that could have a significant impact on the operation. Coming to work is always a pleasure, but when Chris is there, it's a joy.

I have worked with Chris in more than one capacity. As a manager, I found him to be a fair, passionate and inventive leader. He strives for excellence in every aspect in his job and leads by setting a great example to his peers and subordinates alike. When Chris is around, the bar is always set a little higher. Despite his expectations and sense of detail, he is very affable and patient, in the work place. Chris would be a stellar contribution to any company lucky enough to have him.
